N.C. Elementary Honors Chorus: Here at Fallston we are very fortunate to have a student that was selected for this year's North Carolina Elementary Honors Chorus. Several students began rehearsing the audition piece on the second day of school and rehearsed almost every day after school for three weeks with Mrs. Fogleman. Auditions were recorded as a part of the process and sent in. This year almost 700 students from across the state sent in auditions for this honors chorus. The auditions were heard and judged by professional adjudicators with the North Carolina Association for Music Educators. On October 1 Mrs. Fogleman received the results and we were thrilled to find out that we did have one student selected from our school this year. Since being selected this student has been rehearsing with Mrs. Fogleman weekly to learn the music for the upcoming honors chorus concert. She will be going to Winston Salem this afternoon to participate in a full day and a half of rehearsals on Saturday and Sunday with the other 150 students that were selected from various schools across the state. The honors chorus concert will then be presented on Sunday at the N.C. School for the Performing Arts in Winston Salem. We would like to congratulate this student and thank her and Mrs. Fogleman for all of their efforts and preparation for this prestigious honors chorus. Please help me congratulate the student selected from our school on this enormous achievement…… Madison Shaffer!
