Music In Our Schools Month

Post date: Mar 18, 2016 6:42:10 PM

In celebration of Music In Our Schools Month all students were invited to make Homemade Instruments to promote learning in many different areas and correlate with Music. The deadline to turn in instruments was March 11. This year's response was tremendous. We had a total of 113 instruments turned in for the competition and they are all fabulous!

Judges came in and judged the instruments on

March 18 based on the five criteria students

were given:

-creativity

-ability to produce sound

-resembles actual instrument

-hand-made parts

-evidence of student involvement

First, Second, and Third place winners will be awarded based on the judges scores. Those results will be announced next week. Thanks to every student that took the time to make an instrument and participate in the contest. Thanks also to all parents and staff for your continued support of this extremely important endeavor and for your continued support of Music Education in our School.
